Portland HC 5-15 Barley House Wolves 0-5 Portland did it in 2015 and did it in style.  The hurlers from Maine went unbeaten in their eighth season to win the Boston Northeast championship.  With a back line that was well on top and each of the front seven well capable of putting the ball over the bar it was a dominant performance and proved all too easy in the end. Portland 3-2 Worcester 4-14 The Worcester Hurlers made a significant statement Saturday afternoon. Worcester and Portland each made the journey to the Irish Cultural Center in Canton Mass. for their junior C clash on the main field.  Defending champions Worcester came away with a convincing win, and in doing so sent a clear signal about their intent to reclaim the Northeast championship.

Junior C shield:Portland Hurling Club Junior C team travelled to Philly as runners up of the Northeast junior C hurling championship.  The boys from Maine traveled with just one sub, and were also missing some key players who could not make the trip.  The Mainers went down on Friday to a strong team from Indy, which pushed the Mainers into the shield competition for the second year running.  The

Barley House Wolves 2-6 Portland 1-4 Barley House Wolves Captain Ray Valas. The storied Barley House Wolves of Concord New Hampshire won the first Junior C Hurling championship held in the Northeast.  The team was formed by a unit of the New Hampshire National Guard following a tour of duty in Afghanistan five years ago.  There were some great performances for the boys from Concord.
